Sean enjoyed a magazine while the kids helped me.
He is trying to read up on how to get a bigger buck I am sure!! Cause you know we don't have enough of them on our walls LOL!! Actually I am on a mission to shoot a bigger one then him next year so watch out honey!!
Hunter man was on facebook until it was time to plug in all the lights that Mom gave us to make sure they worked.

Grace wanted her picture taken so bad in her little holiday dress up clothes. Never noticed little Austin snuck in the picture by peaking out from under the tree stinker :) By the way Grace could you of giving me any cheesier of a smile goof ball!!

Logan and Austin did such a great job and were such awesome help. They had so much fun putting the tree together. Logan carried it all up from the garage and the two boys sorted it and put it all together for me. Thanks boys!!

Such an awesome helper

Would like to put garland around the banister and down the steps

Just a little tired

Logan laid down in Gracie's room to watch TV with her. I go in there cause it was really quite and he was sleeping on her bed. Logan had 4 hockey games this weekend and two goals and lots of penalties!!!
Hunter Man after 4 games of hockey and 2 goals. He laid down on chair just after 8 pm and was out. He skated very hard this weekend and it definitely took it all out of him.

First Hunt...

Saturday morning Lesnar asked if I wanted to go hunting around 2ish after the boys first game but before their second. I talked to the boys about probably being half hour late or so to their 5 o'clock game. They were cool with it so I told Lesnar I was game. We get home from the first game I started making lunch while Sean went out back and checked the trail cameras. He called me in the midst of the pizza cooking and said there is a buck about 100 yards from food plot bedded down get ready. Frantic and extremely nervous I shut the pizza off and open the oven door. Run over to the shop and start looking for some camo to wear. Of course Hunters is to small and Logan's are big and Sean said they are noisy. Last resort I put Sean's camo pants on and rolled the waist three times. Through a coat on and an orange vest. Sean had the gun ready and he called the camera man aka Steve. When Steve got here we jumped in Sean's pick up and headed over. By this time my stomach is absolutely turning. Now remember this is my very first hunt and I have only shot my rifle three times about two weeks ago. We get there and get out very quietly and walk towards the corn then continue to walk through. We get to the other side and Sean tells me we have to crawl. I'm thinking yeah cause that will work out well with a gimpy wrist. I get down and as I am crawling I'm thinking to myself never in a million years did I ever think I would be crawling through weeds and stickers to spot and stalk a deer. We get to where we need to be and get the tripod all set up. By this point I am extremely nervous. I find him in my scope and I froze. I told Lesnar I wasn't ready he tells me to take a deep breath and tell him when I am going to shoot and he will look through the binoculars. I am shaking by this point and knowing I need to shoot but had zero confidence with him bedded down I was analyzing how I could shoot a vital. Then the tripod slips and Sean gets it readjusted and I can't find him in the scope. I can see him with my naked eye but not through the scope. Now again remember I am a total rookie at this. Forgetting that I have a microphone attached to my collar I am telling Lesnar I can't do this I am to frustrated. He tells me "yes you can" in a stern voice. I then start to cry yeah what a tough hunter I am. The buck then stands up and Lesnar tells me to shoot. I said I can't find him in the scope. A lot was I think I wasn't focusing cause I was so nervous or what I have been told it is buck fever. Had no idea that Sean and Steve have been communicating that I have 4 minutes of tape left. Thank God I didn't know that or I probably would of really freaked out!! I get him in the scope and I said I'm shooting and pulled the trigger. He fell right to the ground but I didn't look instead I looked at Lesnar with tears rolling down and I said I missed him didn't I? He looked at me with a huge smile and said you dropped him instantly. I turned around looked at Steve and stood up and was jumping like a three year old screaming Yes Yes I did it!!!! Come to find out when all said and done. I shot myself a decent 4x4. I also shot a 243 and it wasn't the gun I shot practicing a few weeks back. Lesnar said he didn't tell me cause he figured I would get worried about it kickin back smart choice Lesnar. Steve got amazing footage from the time we left the house to the recovery. It was so much fun watching it and we all got a good laugh out of me walking and constantly pulling up my pants. To me crying in the mic asking God for confidence to shoot him. Watching my reaction after I shot it was hilarious. I am sure G.O and Haley you will get good laughs once you see it. I guess you could say I am an antler addict from here on out!!!!

The verdict is a splint for three weeks unless the radiologist says different. The xrays showed a possible crack but they will officially read it today. It is definately sore but the splint helps with keeping it inmobile.
So to top off me getting to dang excited over a big buck and falling on my keester. Chad was helping Lesnar cape it and sliced his finger open to the bone. That deer has brought nothing but injuries LOL!!!
The boys are heading out today after school to try and get their deers so I am wishing them lots of luck.

Happy 12th Birthday Hunter

Seeing this pic brings back so many memories. He was such a sick little boy when he was born. He spent 19 days in the nicu but I truly believe it was his stubbornness that got him through cause still to this day he is as stubborn as a mule.

He loved this Pooh Bear

Handsome

Best Friends

Mr. Outdoors man

Hard to believe that our Hunter Man is 12 already. From being born such a sick boy he has developed into our little athlete. Hunter is such an awesome boy who has the biggest heart. Happy Birthday Hunter Man
